When the flight departed from Keflavik, Helsinki-Vantaa was still closed due to the ash cloud. Helsinki-Vantaa opened during the flight and they could have changed their flight plan but luckily didn’t. Apparently there were passengers already at Tampere-Pirkkala waiting for the flight back to Iceland.
